day 1: ODAIBA TOUR

Today started early, with breakfast at 07:30am - nice breakfast by the way….
At 09:00 then, we had an orientation meeting during which some rules were explained as well as introduction of the Japanese chiefs. It's unbelievable, but in total 289 people have travelled to Narita to attend the summer camp.
29 countries are attending, that's a lot. And did you know this is the 22nd Yazaki Summer camp, and it started 22 years ago with only 6 Thai kids? Unbelievable isn't is?

Our Japanese Chiefs introducing themselves

After the meeting we jumped into the bus on our way to our first sightseeing. At Odaiba we got our first real introduction of Japanese food.... Some of us enjoyed it, some of us are missing McDonalds, French Fries or spaghetti... But we all tried some and maybe after 1 week of trying, we can all learn to appreciate the Japanese kitchen...

Our lunch

After lunch, we walked to "National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation". There we were surprised of Japan's science skills...

Once we finished our tour in the museum we got the opportunity to shop in a mall. Everywhere we could see Hello Kitty, again, for some of us lovely, but for some of us just too much....:-))
The tour was very interesting, we are absorbing as much as possible to get the most out of this journey.... but more to come...

and of course, we just need to share with you some pictures of the scenary.

Once back to the hotel - we are now staying in "Grand Prince Hotel" - we had a very nice dinner.
Takuro san taught us how to fold birds in paper, namely origami. Takuro-san explained us that 1000 is a lucky number in Japan, therefore each of the children had to make 4 birds, in order to obtain at least 1000 pcs... and that's what we did this evening.... Let's go for the good luck...
